So you came looking for answers for the untimely riddle on what is going on in the killers head well unfortunatly I dont have that answer :D but maybe you can share your upmost thoughts on what might be raddling through his skull all the time... dose he turn his head to the side because he is confused..OR dose he just have an ear infection and he is trying to drain it... maybe he kills because he is tired of people never listening to what he has to say... maybe that is why he never talks..or maybe he is just afraid... but hey he could just be crazy and gets a kick out of killing his realitives maybe he likes to see what there insides look like ( Scream lol) maybe he gets the thrill out of the hunt eather way you put it he is a Killer and a damn good Killer at that slaughter the innocent right down to realitives to babysitters little kids to animals and doctors he has Killed them all and the lust for death seems to grow each time fufilling our need for blood and carnage in our sick twisted society... but we all know we all have a little chucky ( emphesis on little there :D ) , Jason , Micheal, and the many other wonderfull horror killers of ours and other times so go ahead and leave what you think is going on in the Killers head think of it a Challenge and hey give me something to read I'm bored :o :D ;) talk to you all later:D

I have been a huge fan of halloween since the original and have seen every single sequel since up until resurrection and have researched quite extensively the pathology behind michael myers. It is in my estimation that what drives michael is a severe case of schizophrenia. In reality many children and adults afflicted with this mental condition display the same symptoms as michael at age 6 in halloween. Most time they do not talk, do not react and when you look into their eyes there is nothing there, no reason and no soul. Michael Myers and the thorn theory in my opinion is rubbish. Michael is simply driven to kill but his mental condition, this causes him to kill innocents such as doctors and anyone who gets in his way. There is no explanation or reason as to why Michael kills but he does in fact shed the blood of innocents. If there was a way to inject myers with enough thorazine, he could be sedated and locked back into smith's grove, but unless loomis can come back from the grave, no one will be able to subdue the true evil of michael myers

but how do u display his incredible strength and amazing comebacks he has to be possessed somehow???

to answer leatha face, while many times in extreme cases of rage, any person can display the raw strength and power of michael myers, the force behind michael is an extremely powerful rage and no not like 28 days later but a rage that a person mentally damaged and filled with anger could display. As far as the numerous times that michael has been resurrected, I have yet to find a reason for that except for part two when he and loomis are involved in that hospital fire, many times a person can survive something like that and since the time frame between halloween and halloween 4 is about 10 yrs, both michael and loomis had time to recover, halloween 4 explains clearly how he survives, he does'nt die in part 5, in part six tommy doyle simply beats him down with a metal pipe and h20 it is clearly explained, Halloween 8 in my opinion was the end of michael myers but that is up for debate

as a halloween fan, and a fan of the movies since i was 3, i have a couple answers, first, i dont think the thorn theory is rubbish, it makes perfect sense to me, in the olden times, a child is chosen from every family of the tribe, to kill all his relatives to be imortal, and michael must have been chosen by the thorn constellation, and why wouldnt it, he was abused by his sister, he probably was ugly, because when michael let jamie see his face, and she tried to touch it he put back on the mask and snapped, and his relatives probably thought he was ugly too, and the thorn symbol chose him to get revenge, as for the beat downs, i think he is possessed, but like leatherface said, probably anyone could survive a fire with 10 years to recover, he is probably possessed by the symbol, because noone could survive a pipe, a 2x4, and shotguns, and has to kill everyone of his family to be realeased from thorn, he probably could be sedated, because he is normal as a person, he is just possessed, but he might escape again because he did it once and he can do it again, Michael is a complex killer

1) Its a fuckin horror film. Hes a fuckin horror character. He might as well be sufferin from every mental illness under the sun, it doesn't matter, he's a horror baddie. He's gonna kill people.

and

2) Dont read too far into it.....its a fuckin horror film.

Wasn't Lumis killed in the second one?

No, Loomis survived the explosion in H2 and "died" in Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers. Actually, Donald Pleasence who played Loomis died before the movie was released, so that pretty much put an end to Loomis.

The curse of Thorn is a good plot. If Akkad keeps the thorn plot out of the next Halloween movie, then he's an idiot. I hate they pretend that 4-6 never happened. They were good movies. Very good movies. The only movie they should be pretending never happened was Resurrection.

michael does show all the symptoms of a schizo.. being a psych major i see that...

but as a horror character, i'd rather see him as something that other slashers aren't... just pure evil for no reason..

to answer what i think is going on in his head... i believe he thinks in pictures... when he's killing someone, i like to think he can communicate those pictures with them on a telepathic level .. especially on the kills that he takes more time with...

michael is very dear to me and i hold a special place for him as a horror character ... and i don't know how you can say ressurection was his end... he opened his eyes at the end of the movie...

i'm not really sure he almost hugged jamie in part 6... i think that was more like a slow communication of the moment

however, there have been times when i've considered michael to be a childhood victim of demonic possesion...

but i would really much rather prefer to think of him as just a pure creation of evil in the world

true, at the end of resurrection michael did open his eyes but as an morgue attendtant which one day I hope to be medical examiner, after someone dies it is not uncommon for the eyes to open or the arms or legs to move post mortem, this usually occurs after the hour of the time of death, pre rigor mortis and is known commonly as a "death spasm"

I'm pretty sure the reason was to show that there would be Halloween 9, but good point. :D

True....

But in the case of a horror movie, when a dead guy opens his eyes....it usually means he aint dead

one thing that i didn't likeabout halloween 2 is how it ended. as a welder, i work around oxygen all the time, and oxygen doesnt explode. it is an oxidizer, which means that it will make stuff burn faster. if loomis would have struck a lighter in a room full of pure oxygen, the flame might have jumped a little higher, but thats all. then the movie would have ended a lot differently.

and congrats The Dark Shape to answering my question of the day

ok new question for all you halloween lovers out there

to answer wolfy's question, the myers house in resurrection was indeed a new one that was built on a soundstage in vancouver canada, mainly for two reasons, one because the original myers house is now a chiropractor's office in pasadena california and two they needed to add a garage to the myers house to act as a base of operations for the dangertainment crew. silly idea when the myers house never had a garage but hey that's cinema

Congrats to leatherfacetcm for answering my question of the day
:D quite extensively too I might add :D

yea Micheal will never die he is an immortal being his very essence is tied in with the univererse Micheal may have some untied destiny that they were plotting but then they just blew it to hell in H20 and Ressurection but oh well he is still my Fav. killer.. I am looking forward to watching the movie Saw though that looks like it may be a winner but it may be a clunker.. there is also the movie the Grudge that looks good but then I see that Sarah Machell (wrong spelling) Gellar is in it and I got the iffy vibe off of it so I guess I will just waint to see how it turns out 13 more days till Halloween my goolish readers so pull on your Mask and get ready for the Witching Hour ...just watch out for the Ravinous Children that will attack you eat your brain and hang your parents with your asophogus :D Happy hunting children :D

ok something a little different today  how about a Poll?

What Movie out of "The Grudge" and "Saw" would you prefer to watch?

Post your replys and I will give Poll results in a few days

see you all later my readers :D

leatherfacetcm

SAW hands down

FuzzyJay
10-22-2004, 09:36 AM
I actually want to see both of them actually, but if I had to choose only one (which I don't have to in real life :) ) I'd choose Saw

Only for the fact it's R rated (I think), and should hopefully be a little gorier. I also have seen and read very little about this movie so I should enjoy it more with less preconcieved notions about it.

The Grudge's PG-13 rating has me a little concerned, although the trailers for it look good, with a few good scary bits.
