Oh hell yes!
I just finished this.....all I can say is wow!!!! Great plot, great acting...!
It was really kool near the end...My TV is OLD, and thr colur tube is starting to go. Near the end of the movie, from around th windmill scene on, it seemed to have a black and white qualitty to it....turned out very kool! Kinda like the 1st of Van Helsing
Awesome flick!
PS- Vod, I said awhile back, and you mentioned something about it, that Johnny Depp wasnt a good actor. Dear sweet lord....I have seen the light!

Johnny Depp is a great actor but only in period parts. IE: Sleepy Hollow, From Hell, Pirates of the Carribean, etc.

I disagree. I thought he was excellent in Edward Scissorhands, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, and that documentary about M. Night Shayamalan's The Village. (That last was a joke).
Sleepy Hollow has to be the most inventive, original, and enjoyable adaptation of the story since Disney's 1949 classic. I think I'll watch it again today!

Well, I hate the movie too. But I can't deny that Depp did an excellent job as "The Good Doctor".

I like this movie but I honestly can't understand why no one has mentioned the shitty Scooby-Doo ending this flick has.
"Yes it was me all along, bwa ha ha!!! And this is why I did THIS! And this is why I did THAT!!! And this is how I got away with it all!!! I tell you this now while I have you captive in my lair and also before you get rescued and I am defeated!!! BWA HA HA!!!"
But, to me, it's the third worst Tim Burton movie, with Big Fish and Planet of the Apes rounding out that top three... or bottom, however you look at it.

Nice atmosphere, fun movie ... nothing stunning about it, but its fun! Walken always adds some extra cool to a movie ...

You know, call me silly, but I enjoyed this movie a LOT. Saw it twice in the theatres. I really don't think of it as something that's to be taken too seriously, more as a piece of really crazy special effects/atmosphere filmmaking.

It was sort of goofy, kindof humorous too, but, most horror movies don't work without at least a little humor in it.

Depp was great in Fear and Loathing... and just when you expected the drug-fuelled madness to calm down in the film, it upped the ante even more.
Sleepy Hollow is one of Burton's best films, not being quite as drenched in his sometimes overly-quirky "visionary style" - it's rather violent and scary and probably worried quite a few kids who'd gone expecting something a little more fairy-tale.

Geeze, whats with all the ancient threads being dug up recently?
Anyway, I still love this movie. Same cannot be said for a certain someone mentioned on the first page, but hey, the movie still rocks! I cant imagine back when I thought Depp was a bad actor....that was after seeing him in a grnd total of 2 movies: Nightmare on Elm Street and Pirates of the Carribean. After having seen him in dozens more films, he's one of my favourite actors.

I thought he was really good in Pirates.
Anyway...I thought Sleepy Hollow was a very good movie. Atmosphere, acting, directing ect. had the whole 9 yards.

I think I need to watch that film again. When it first came out on DVD, I had to watch it with my friends almost every single day of Christmas Break. After seeing it 5-6 times, I whole-heatedly despised it. I vaguely remember enjoying it the first time, perhaps it deserves another chance...
