Russian Policeman Uses Hammer to Finish off Old Woman After Running Her Over in Car
A policeman in South Russia’s internal republic of Bashkortostan has been detained over a cruel murder of an old woman, the Regnum news agency reports. The officer reportedly beat the woman to death with a hammer after running her over with his car.
The agency cited the district prosecutor’s office as saying that a criminal case was launched against a 22-year old police officer over the killing of a 63-year old woman.
The criminal police report said the policeman ran the old woman over in his Lada car on Friday. In order to get rid of the witness he beat the woman to death with a hammer and fled the scene of the crime.
At the time of the report the murder suspect was already in custody, the police say.
