Just today, I've started watching some japanese movie based on a manga from what I've read about it, it's called Azumi, about an oprhaned girl trained from childhood among other youths as assassins to end conflict within the country by killing certain warlords who'll potentially cause "bullshit".
This movie looks "SOOOO Manga"..quite bloody but not as gory as a manga could have allowed for.
Seems pretty decent so far, has me quite interested in tracking the manga down...
Anyone got anything to say 'bout either of em?

i enjoyed it, the story was easy to follow. my only problem with the film was with something in the ending.....but other than that good. enjoyed it more than most of the other asian horrors i've watched recently, except maybe uzumaki.

theres a more recent remake of that too called Sole Survivor .. I think it was done in the 80's where a woman who should have died in an airplane crash somehow survived and was haunted by the dead after that ...

It was interesting but no where near as cool and effective as the origional.

I think Final Destination took both as inspiration.

When I got up, I watched "The Fall of the House of Usher". It was awesome. A few hours later, I watched "Silence of the Lambs"....well, most of it. Part way through, my dad asked if I wanted to watch "Fistful of Dollars" with him, so I stopped "Silence..." and watched that. Afterwards, I finished "Silence..." and watched "Hannibal". Great day.

I love action movies that try to be horror. As yet, none have succeded on the horror end, but they always come out as a damn good action movie, IMO

Van Helsing being one of the best examples, as far as Im concerned. Blade, Resident Evil (Both), and Underworld are good runner-ups.
