Maybe it's a little attempt to pimp my site, but its more of a "neat shit" thing than anything else...
go here:
http://scaredyet.net/
And see the new decorations for halloween :)
Charming, eh? Or just obnoxious?
Oh, and keep you fingers crossed for me. i submitted Father Dillon's Funeral (http://scaredyet.net/lit/shamb.aspx) to sci-fi.com for publication. if they decide to publish it, it could be worth up to $1500 for me :)
It's also Halloweenie, so give it a read. Okay, not halloween, but horror. Just read it.

Best of luck on the pending sci-fi deal. Hope it works out for you.

Hmmmm.... i think the pumpkin thing may be internet explorer only, so people using netscape and AOL might not see anything
nothing like standards.....
here is what the punkins look like for those that cant see them. they drift down like snowflakes :)

How corney. I like it! Man dude yo uare having some serious good luck. I herd of a lucky rabbits foot, but if I cut of your foot will it be lucky?
"It was a normal wonderful life for Vod. A beautiful soon-to-be. A kick-ass Horror site. A chance to get one of his books/storys published, and win up to $1500. And a 'freakin' scary site award'. Yes, everything was going so perfect. Then disaster happened. His foot was ripped clean off. Now he suffers living life with but one foot. But his wife stayed by his side. His computer got a virus, deleting all his hard work on his website. His house got hit by a flying cow, smashing a hole in the roof. He got bit by a spider of halloween night. The spider was very deadly. Soon, his body got numb, and his skin cold. His heart slowed down, and he died slowly in his sleep." Lets hope that story remains fictional.
That must be the problem. I switched my browser just the last week to Mozilla Firefox. Great browser........no popups as of yet.

I bet that is exactly what it is. pop-ups require javascript support. if the browser has no javascript, no pop-ups, and no cool falling pumpkins.
Godamn open-source.....:)

At this point...I'll sacrifice the falling pumpkins for the no popups.

oh and in netscape you get redirected to : http://scaredyet.net/index_files/1.js, and that's where that error message fills the page.

I had the same type of problem today at work. Netscape gives me headaches but we're forced to make it compatible where I work even considering the fact that only 4-6% of the planet uses Netscape.

yeah.. too fucking bad. I know ISP's like Bell Business Internet and Sympatico (CAN) offer Netscape 4.7 with their dialup and High Speed package. How retarded. If you're gonna make an alliance with a shity company, at least offer their latest (shitty) version.
