The only thing that comes close to Deliverance the movie is Deliverance the book. I mean who hasnt seen it? Its so crazy i sometimes have to watch certain parts to understand what the fuck is going on..

two words for you:

Dis-turbing. Okay, that is one word, two syllables, hyphenated, but still, you get the picture. Hey, im a bit hung-over....

It really does mess with your head, though. it brings up the very disturbing notion that just because you are out for a nice wholesome good time, doesnt mean the other people out there are.

Just remember, if you go out in the woods, dont piss off the rednecks, and if you do, make damn sure you have Burt Reynolds around. He is a kick-ass shot with a bow and arrow.

HAH Damn Straight. I always carry an extra Burt Reynolds around. He is quite handy. The rednecks here arent THAT bad. Although they tend to be assholes.

Better that they are assholes, than them wanting to insert something in yours :)

its bad. the squeel like a pig scene is probably one of the most disturbing things i have seen. I have a reliable source that says that ned beatty's performance when the evil deed happens was pretty much dead-on for that sort of thing. makes it even worse....

Another good flick in the same vein as Deliverance is "Southern Comfort".
No pig scene , but a very good take on "southern hospitality". Actually there is a pig scene, pretty disgusting , but if your into pig gutting you may like it.
I always thought they couldn't harm animals in movies . I'm sure it was eaten by the cast and crew though.
