i haven't been able to sign into my hotmail account for two days. i type my name and password and i get a blank screen for about half a minute then i get a "page can not be displayed" message. friends of mine have been able to access their hotmail accounts from my computer so i know it's neither hotmail or my computer that are the problem. it's MY account. anybody ever dealt with this? it's driving me crazy. i have some important e-mails in there that i NEED to get at. hotmail's "help" page is no help at all. please, if anyone has had a similar problem and has a solution........ please.

maybe your typing in the wrong password or something? or maybe someone is just hacking

sorry to hear about that. i have a regular email but luckily i only use my hotmail for BS stuff, so id ont really care if it messes up or not.

anyway what i would try and do is to clear out all ur cache and TIF.. dunno if thatll help but its a start...

Yes, I get that A LOT. Everytime. I always have to refresh the page, or go back and then do it again in order for it to finally work. Good luck though.

I've had problems similar to that with hotmail.

All I can suggest is, on internet explorer go to tools>internet options>click on the privacy tab>and move the slide bar down a bit to reduce cookie blocking.

another thing, do you have a firewall or any other sort of software that could be blocking cookies etc? If so reduce the amount of stuff that it blocks.

Since my problems started, I've been accessing my hotmail accounts through Outlook Express and never have the need to visit the hotmail site. So much simpler.

I've got Outlook on two other Pc's, I've always prefered Outlook Express so left that on my main rig.

I've had similar problems with my Photobucket account...Just recently, as a matter of fact...One of my Photobucket accounts couldn't be accessed, but the others could, as well as my daughter's, and everyone else's that I know...I just waited a while and kept checking back, eventually it was fine again:confused: ...I suppose that it just must be glitches within the actual sites...

On the other hand...I have had Hotmail for as long as I have been online, and I have NEVER experienced a problem with my Hotmail account:cool:
