Following in the footsteps of Hulk Hogan and Santo, WWE wrestler Triple H will attempt to launch himself into a movie career. H (is it ok to call him that?) will make his debut in the third Blade movie, "Blade: Trinity", as one of the bad guys trying to destroy vampire hunter Wesley Snipes. The WWE says that they believe the world is looking for a new action star, and they think Triple H has what it takes to be that star.
Triple H will also be staring in a Western called "Journey of Death". The script for "Journey of Death" was written by John Milius ("Apocalypse Now") specifically as a vehicle for Triple H. The movie is being produced by Vince McMahon and backed by the new WWE Films division of World Wrestling Entertainment.
"Blade: Trinity" is the third movie in the Blade series, all of which are based on the comic by Gene Colan and Marv Wolfman. In the upcoming film, the day walking vampire hunter Blade takes on his biggest challenge to date. The vampires make a major push to take over the entire planet from the humans, while mounting an aggressive attack against Blade as well. Blade must join forces with some other hunters to find a way to stop the vampires before it's too late for the human race.
Other than Triple H and Snipes, the upcoming movie also stars Jessica Biel and Kris Kristofferson. "Blade: Trinity" is currently in pre-production and is scheduled for release sometime in 2004.
