Did I mention House before? I probably did. The original is easily the best, although the second film is also enjoyable is very strange and having nearly nothing to do with the original. It's been too long since I last saw the fourth and final film to have a fair judgment of it. The third film is where it gets tricky, with it simply called The Horror Show in the U.S. and not marketed as a sequel, yet elsewhere in the world it was House III. It's decent but I've always had a hard time considering it part of the series.

Very neat thread!

-------------------------

Friday The 13th - Friday 1

Halloween - Halloween 1

A Nightmare On Elm Street - New Nightmare

Saw - Saw 1

Scream - Scream 1

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre - TTCM 1

Alien - Aliens

Predator - Predators

Phantasm - Ashamed, haven't seen any.

Evil Dead - Evil Dead 2

Hellraiser - I barely remember Hellraiser from when I watched it as a kid.

Child's Play - The first!

Final Destination - Barely remember any of these movies.

-------------------------

Welp, looks like most of my picks are boring - the first haha.

The Phantasm series is great and totally worth seeing if you never have.

The Jeepers Creepers series is eligible for this now with the third film that came out a few months back. I'm in no rush to see it and am not even interested as the director and his disgusting crimes have turned me away. I saw the first two on cable years ago and didn't like either, although the second one had some okay moments.

Hatchet is another I remembered. I recently blind bought the third and fourth movies. I've only seen the first two so far. I remember finding the first one meh and thinking the second was much better. It'd be good to binge all four sometime soon. I hope 3 and 4 are as good as the second one was, at least.

Another series I remembered and one more obscure is Xtro. I've only seen the original, it's two sequels are totally unrelated despite the title as well as having the same director back. But the original is one of the weirdest movies ever and feels like an amalgamation of every weird, nonsensical dream you've ever had in movie form. Here's a sampling of just how incredibly bizarre and WTF this movie is (fair warning these may be fairly graphic and NSFW):

Critters is another series I forgot, it's been so long since I last watched them. I can't remember if 1 or 2 was my favorite.

Think I mentioned Jurassic Park before. Not sure if the series counts as Horror although in a way I consider it Horror-y. The upcoming Fallen Kingdom definitely seems to be emphasizing the Horror/monster film aspects much more. In any event, the original is very easily the best.

I consider it to be horror even if it technically isn't. Seeing dinosaurs eat people is pretty freaky.
