Top Horror Movies Year By Year
My favorite horror movies year by year; 1972-2009. I wanted to have a top 5 for each year, but found that too difficult so I'll be combining years sometimes so the films I list will be somewhere between 5-10.

Okay, this is 1972-73 (in no particular order):

The Other
Tales FromThe Crypt
Vault Of Horror
Sisters
The Exorcist
The Wicker Man

What are your favorites from 1972-73?

I can see another 100 list, the best film in each individual year since 1910!



I would agree with The Exorcist & The Wicker Man, would throw in Last House on the Left for 1972. Haven't seen The Other but think I would like to.

Ok Lets see... First off, great Movies on your list! I'm gonna post random years of a few of my favorites:

1974 TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE

1978 Dawn of the Dead

1980 The Shining

1981 Evil Dead

2003 House of 1000 Corpses

2009 Drag Me to Hell

That sounds like a great idea; hopefully the mods will do that someday.

I enjoyed Last House On The Left as well; super creepy Krug!

I had 4 of those 6 lined up; I'll try to remember to add the other two when the years come up.

Dracula A.D 1972
Last house on the left
Your vice is a locked room & only I have the key
The Legend of Hell House
Theater of Blood
The Crazies
The Asphyx
Don't look now

I've seen 5 of these movies; Asylum, Last House On The Left, and Theater Of Blood were good. Wasn't a fan of The Crazies or Don't Look Now.

My knowledge of older films, particularly the silent era, is somewhat limited. Maybe I'll do older films in the Classic Horror section.
