Peter Lorre

And Lorre fans on here? I think he's one of the coolest, quirkiest actors that ever lived. He cracked me up in Tales of Terror.

How the fuck should I know probably!
Why? Because it's a brilliant film, it's so funny, and the soundtrack kicks fucking ass!

Casablanca is a great film. If you like Lorre, I recommend any of the Corman/Poe flicks he did. You've already seen some of his other greats.

The new two disc DVD set Heroes of Horror features Peter Lorre's Biography episode.
Trailers for Mad Love(1935) and Beast With Five Fingers(1946) are included in the extras. These two films are not on VHS or DVD but do play on TCM a few times a year and are well worth seeing. Mad Love is his second greatest performance after M.

Heroes of Horror also features Karloff, Lugosi, Price & Chaney Jr, and is well worth the $19.99 pricetag.

You can order it from Sara Karloff, Boris' daughter. Go to her website, Karloff.com for details.

Beast With Five Finger is good. Mad Love was kinda cool, but I am now officially sick of Hands Of Orloc adaptations. So, to any potential directors out there--no more Hands Of Orloc. Enough already! And that especially goes for you, Jess Franco, so stop trying to look so innocent.

I love Twice-Told Tales and The Raven. But my favorite Lorre movie is the great "M." In my opinion it is Frtz Lang's best movie.

Remember in the old Warner Bros cartoons how they would always make a dopey-eyed vilian and give him Lorre's voice. That was cool.

I like Cassablanca, but if I see it one more time my head will explode. I've seen it waay too many times. If I watch a Michael Curtiz movie over again it will be The Adventures of Robin Hood.
