They Thirst

Excellent book by Robert McCammon. I lost the copy I had a long time ago. I've checked on Barnes and Noble and Amazon's websites, but no one has it. Anybody have any ideas how I can get this book?

This was a good book. I felt it lost something though when I re-read it a couple of years ago.

ETA: There's cheaper places. Just google They Thirst Used Books

They Thirst pulled from publication

Rick McCammon pulled They Thirst from publication, along with Bethany's Sin, Night Boat and Baal. These were his first four novels and he said he didn't think they were very good. I would not disagree with him on the first three, but I very much liked They Thirst, at least until the ending, which I thought was far too deux ex machina.

Rick's not writing anymore; he got disgusted with the publishing industry and just quit. Other novels of his that are very good include Swan Song, which some people unfairly compared to The Stand. But I think The Stand is a barely mediocre book and Swan Song is far better. Also check out Boy's Life, Mine, Usher's Passing and Wolf's Hour.
