Event Horizon creeped me out when I first saw it. I am not very big on sci-fi horror but that one got to me.

I wasn't impressed by Event Horizon at first, but after giving it another chance, I really enjoyed it.

Here's the thing about Event Horizon (1997...

I had already seen every Star Trek Original Series & Next Gen, Twilight Zone, and most all the sci-fis (and I think I had just seen Sphere1998). If you had also seen these, your eyes may also had rolled at the continual parade of "stolen" sci-fi ideas & tropes strewn together in Event Horizon. It seemed very hodge·podge to me.

I thought it was a cool idea, good production value, and mildly entertaining. Had I not seen much sci-fi before seeing EH, I probably would have been more impressed.

I would'nt say all these were great, just some mix of under appreciated, misjudged, missed or forgotten.

Scanners 1981
Dressed to Kill 1980
King Kong 1976
Jacob's Ladder 1990
John Dies at the End

''He was licking me!''

Ravenous is one of the greatest films ever made. Col. Ives one of my favorite characters.

I couldn't agree more. This movie is brilliant. Excellent, odd, soundtrack too.

I think I am the exception when it comes to Ravenous.... I found it a little bit boring and thought Robert Carlyle overacted the crap out of his part.

Exorcist III might be one of the more underrated horrors of the last 25 years though. It seems to have a bit more of a cult following and respect these days but its a quality film. George C. Scott and Brad Dourif put in great performances.

Starry Eyes is pretty overlooked. It's not great (the pacing was pretty bad) but as far as recent body horror goes there's not much recently that's like it.
