I'll second that. When you know what scares you most, who better to scare you than your subconscious self? I've had dreams that make me question my sanity so many times. Or fearing for loved ones.

It blows my mind how our minds drift into like an alternate universe when we are sleeping and takes us places that are truly crazy sometimes.

There are times when I truly wish I could record my dreams and then show them to people in the movie industry. Other times, I wish someone would suck the dreams right out of my head so I never see the images again!!

My artistic friend drew a picture of a creature in one my dreams, perfection. It was like she saw it through my eyes. I wish I had not lost it It was an incredibly scary dream with elves, fairies, and the such.....

Looking at the OP is like looking back in time. Paranormal Activity hadn't even come out. Who imagined 8 years later we'd have 5 sequels.

Yeah, it is weird looking at the OP on several of the threads.

Most ppl wouldn't have believed there would be 1 sequel to PA, let alone 5!!

This is one of the best questions I've read in a long time. The last time I was honest and truly "SCARED" by a movie was back in the 1970's.

What movie got to you?

In the 70's, for me, it was The Exorcist. I watched late at night, alone, in the dark. I was just a kid after all !!

When I was younger, I caught a glimpse of Chucky (in Seed of Chucky) and I thought he was so fucking scary. Years later, in this moment, I don't think Seed of Chucky is scary in the slightest bit.

So while most people might still shit their pants watching a classic movie that was new back then, I am definitely not shitting my pants whenever I see Chucky.

Horror movies don't scare me, but Japanese horror movies are terrifying; as in, they're creepy. Not that it keeps me up at night or anything. While I love Western horror movies, I appreciate Japanese horror movies because they don't rely on jump scares, unlike Western horror movies.

I believe, with the technology and posibilities of the upcoming virtual reality headsets, that we will get a lot of scary movies in the near future. Given that people use the headset, of course.
