I got to see the Re-Animator series one day, always wanted to give them a look.

Also thought about adding the Universal and Hammer series to the list, those are good ones to add for sure.

Of the movies of the [REC]/Quarantine series I've seen, I probably like [REC] 2 the most. That could be a good series to add to the list.

I liked that one the most too. It took the movie in a whole new direction and made the first one better. Plus it didnt have the stigma of the American shot for shot remake.

I really liked how [REC2] was literally set right after the first movie and in the same timeframe. I love that kind of tight continuity in a sequel.

Me too I thought it worked well with Halloween and Halloween 2 (the originals) too :)

I love that as well. It's always cool when a sequel has that tight a connection to a previous movie.

Oh and of course there's Hellraiser and Hellraiser 2:Hellbound. As much as I adore Hellraiser, I found the sequel to be darker, deeper and scarier and so is my personal fave in the hellraiser series :)

Kenneth Cranham is absolutely fantastic in Hellbound ,such a great horror character
" The mind is a labyrinth, ladies and gentlemen, a puzzle. And while the paths of the brain are plainly visible, its ways deceptively apparent, its destinations are unknown. Its secrets still secret. And, if we are honest, it is the lure of the labyrinth that draws us to our chosen field to unlock those secrets. Others have been here before us and have left us signs, but we, as explorers of the mind, must devote our lives and energies to going further to tread the unknown corridors in order to find ultimately, the final solution. We have to see, we have to know..."
