I read a short story a few years ago and can't find it again. Can't remember the author or title, and most internet searches have turned up nothing. In it, the narrator goes to Paris (sometime around 1900 maybe) and visits a landfill outside of the city. He meets with a group of war veterans who live there, but they plot to kill him. He escapes and is pursued by them for most of the story, finally escaping. It is definitely horror, but not supernatural. Thanks
