Nah, you totally just made that up.

Edit:

“Let the Right One In is a totally of-its-time thriller of the early 2000s.”

Hobo with a Shotgun 2011, has a grindhose feel.
Summer of 84 (2018), has a very Fright Night meets Stranger Things feel.
Revenge 2017, has some 70's/80's nods.

"Candy Corn" pays tribute to the classic horror films of the 1970s and 1980s, and does an overall good job of it. It also has Tony Todd in there. There's a new horror anthology film called "Tales Of Fear" that is based on the same E.C. Comics that "Tales From The Crypt," "The Vault Of Horror," and "Creepshow" are, and screened at the Bram Stoker International Film Festival, along with winning the Directors Choice Award at the Indie Horror Film Festival near Chicago, which is available on Prime! There is also an old school done right artsy and gory serial killer film called "Violence Gives Him Hope" that has also had a few highly successful public screenings, currently available on Bandcamp, and should be available on Prime! The last one is in a unique black and white format with occasional bright colored scenes. There is also a zombie film called "Destined To Be Injested," which is like a zombie version of "Cannibal Holocaust." Those are a few recommendations on newer horror films with the old school look and feel.
