Krampus - 8/10

I had a lot of fun. It had a campiness to it at times that reminded me of Critters. And maybe a spoon of Tim Burton here and there.

Honestly, I found myself pretty bored by it.
I like the comic, this, I did not.
The Joker was maybe the most bland version to ever make film.
Not for me.
Even watched the extended one - What happened to the Joker scene they marketed so much,
with him looking all messed up/burnt?
More cuts.
I would suggest Assault on Arkham. Its what the Suicide Squad movie should have been like.

New Kids Turbo (2010)
"White trash battling the govenrment."
Lots of crude humour and violence.

New Kids Nitro (2011)
"White trash vs white trash from a neighbouring village and later on vs zombies."
More of the same but this time with zombies and gore.

I give an both an A or B depending on the mood.

The worse the weather gets, the more I (re)watch comedies.

I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House, 2016. 7/10

Creepy. This film was directed by the guy who did The Blackcoats Daughter. This director knows atmosphere.

*Edit

Oz Perkins, the director, son of Norman Bates. :)

The Magnificent Seven (2016)
I.M.D.B.
Seven gunmen in the old west gradually come together to help a poor village against savage thieves.

Relatively entertaining. More time should have been spent with the camaraderie of the seven, making us care more about them. And more realism should have been portrayed regarding accuracy of the guns. Everyone's Deadshot in this and it strips all the tension. Turn your brain off and watch. Or don't...you've seen it all before anyway.
7/10

Saw it some time ago.
While it wasn't perfect (though my only real issue was it was quite small scale), I tell anyone disappointed in Suicide Squad almost exactly the same thing.

Lights Out

Predictable plot points but still pretty well executed.
