Help with unknown movie
Anybody know what this was?
I remember seeing a movie on Chiller Theatre on WPIX around 1974. All I remember is the climax, where I think a bunch of witches were standing around dispersed in a spooky, open area, maybe a graveyard. The guy who had to save the day was mortally wounded, I think, so he wrapped his arms around a large stone cross and clutched it to his chest. He staggered through the area, carrying it around to each of the witches, and when he got close, each witch would burst into flame. I thought the title was "Burn Witch Burn," but that wasn't this movie. Not sure if it was made in the early 1970s or back in the 1960s. |

If it was black and white, it sounds a lot like this movie:

Thank you very much. You're right, although I misremembered. I couldn't find this title in the complete "Chiller Theatre" listings, but I did find Horror Hotel was aired on "Creature Features" on four Saturday evenings in 1971 through 1973, which is about right. Just watched the end on YouTube and it matched. Pretty decent atmosphere for a low-budget flick, although in my pre-teen memories, the graveyard was bigger and even spookier.
Thanks again. I never would have thought to look for a name like that. Last edited by wolfen; 05-03-2015 at 09:37 AM. |

I know it as Horror Hotel, too. Did a search on IMDB.com for Christopher Lee's movies, and that title came up.
One of my favorite Lee movies.
