10 of the Most Creative Kills in Horror Films

...are listed here.

http://www.film.com/movies/creative-...-horror-movies

I am pretty impressed with all 10 listed, though I felt a few other noteworthy ones are very conspicuous by their absence, for e.g., the sleeping bag death in Friday the 13th Part VII, the bed death in the original Nightmare on Elm Street, the tub death in the original Final Destination, tummy opening up to chomp arms off in The Thing (Carpenter), etc. (those that come to mind right away). Will think of more later.

Any others you can suggest which are uniquely creative?

Freddy vs. Jason

When Jason bends the guy in half after stabbing him an bunch of times with the machete...the bending in half on the foldout bed was awesome.

Mirrors

When her reflection tears her own mouth apart, thus tearing her mouth apart for real...never seen that before!

Phantasm

Naturally, the first time we saw the flying ball of death in action...
So memorable...even down to the victim pissing himself!

Honorable Mention...
If Bateman really had crammed a cat into an ATM, it'd have been the most epic animal kill on film ever.

Friday the 13th Part 2 - Not really creative but completely over the top and wrong. The wheelchair guy's death.

Friday the 13th Part 6 - The sheriff's death.

I know we probably all take it for granted now, but how can you leave off the first death in Alien?

An alien drops its offspring inside you. It grows and eventually eats its way out of you while it's victim is still alive. A truly horrible thought, and brilliant.

I believe they got the inspiration for it from some wasp or insect that does it to a spider.

Humbug. None of Dr. Phibes' elaborate death scenes.

The priest getting decapitated in THE OMEN and the guy, John Cassavetes I think, blowing up in THE FURY were pretty good I thought.
