A French language psycho-thriller from Canada that's exceptionally well executed with a seemingly simple plot centers around an accidental captivity of an young film student in a residence of a righteous psychopath & fanatic chess player. I guess for it's very limited release issue or somehow, this superb gem of a psychological horror went under radar from us & most of the genre fans in past decade; cause a film with such an intense characterization, character's challenging revelation towards the end throughout keeping an interesting premise & beautifully crafted screenplay is unmissable! The cast did an excellent job, particularly the actors played the main protagonist & antagonist on the lead made the show fascinating to watch. The film comes with a good production value, not so much gore except if you count a room of bleeding wall & its floor flooded with blood! The entertainment more lies on the growing psychological tensions between & within the characters & the slowly changing course of events. Strongly recommended to the sucker of psycho-horror/thriller, especially V, Elvis, Ferox, Angra, Fortunato, Newb & yes...Chorno (even if she eventually comes with a negative feedback, I'd like to read that:rolleyes: but I'm sure she'll love it.:D) >>: A-

"Some guy who kills people" 8/10
Again. I honestly don't understand so few people have seen this little "horror" gem yet. If i'm not mistaken it's only Roshiq and I so far. For me it's one of the best movies i've seen this year.
