twist on disturbing

Hola. i am on the hunt for some disturbing movies. By disturbing, i mean those that hint at the dark secrets of human nature that we try to repress deep within ourselves. i love movies and literature (Dostoevsky) that artistically reveal that which we try hard to keep locked up, but that occasionally bubbles to the surface of our existence nonetheless. That said, movies that i liked which may have hinted at this feeling were Irreversible, Deliverance, maybe Kalifornia, Fargo (the weasel-ish anti-hero played by Macy made me uncomfortable), The Descent, and the stabbing scene in Saving Private Ryan. It is a hard thing to describe that which forces us to empathize with such inner darkness, but if any of ya'll have ay suggestions for me i'd appreciate it. Late.

The Devils Chair is one you may like to check out, maybe Identity also.

A classic is Forbidden Planet which deals with creatures from the Id

You might like Happiness, not horror, but it will certain reach some 'inner darkness'.

Nope. Haven't picked up a copy of that yet. Philosophy Of A Knife is on its way to me.
