Saw the re-release on Halloween, was awesome to see. I've seen Saw a ton of times on Blu-ray and DVD before, but in the theater it's like a brand new movie.

I also recently marathoned the series again a few weeks back as part of my October viewing. My ranking of the series remains the same and likely always will:

I agree. It was great to see it on the big screen on Halloween. I'm re-watching the series again, but maybe just a couple a week.

Just realized both Saw II and Saw VII/3D share an anniversary this year (10 and 5, respectively). Time sure has flown, I remember seeing Saw II twice during it's theatrical run.

I bloody love the Saw series! I saw everyone in cinema religiously. I don't have a particular order, but, reading this thread makes me want give it a go, again. Fortunately I have the entire run on DVD so it shan't be difficult to do so.

The recent Jigsaw (AKA Saw VIII/Saw: Legacy) was surprisingly pretty good. Updating ranking:

Saw 1 was good, Saw 2 was alright but a fun time, 3-5 were preposterous messes that I enjoyed solely for how outlandish and silly they got. 6 & 7, I never saw. But I saw "Jigsaw" for the podcast and boy, did I think it was baaad. This series has jumped the shark for sure, but I'll always appreciate the first for being good, the second for being a fun follow-up & 3-5 for being corny bored late-night fodder.

I love the original but the sequels were lame and screamed of cash grab. Putting out one a year didn't help any either. This latest sequel, Jigsaw was alright but nothing special.

Been a long time since I last posted here. Updated ranking including Spiral and Saw X:

1
2
6
X
Spiral
Jigsaw
5
4
7
3

Saw X was surprisingly very good and certainly far better than it had any right to be. I enjoy Spiral and Jigsaw more than most, and give credit Spiral did something different. I really enjoy the series overall and Jigsaw is definitely among my favorite of the Horror icons. Heck, I like him enough I named my account here after him.

Love or hate the series, got to give it props each film actually did something different and tried to enrich the mythology and develop the characters, and not just merely repeat things. Look forward to Saw XI later this year.
