Recommended movies for Halloween

Hey guys.

I'm looking for a list of about 20 horror movies to watch this upcoming Halloween.
I have a YouTube channel where I review horror films and this year I want to compile a list of 20 horror movie recommendations and a few honourable mentions.

So I ask you guys, what films should I put on the list?

I know a few obvious ones:

Halloween
The Exorcist
The Shining
Psycho
Alien

I'm looking for a few hidden gems or underrated main stream movies.
It'll be a big help if I can get some recommendations from fellow horror fans.

Here's my channel:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCww...3D8Y9DthEpeVjQ

I wanna start working on this list soon and hopefully get a video done by the week before Halloween.

IMO Shining is too long and slow-burn for Halloween night.

Night of the Living Dead

Universal monsters

Nightmare Before Christmas

Garfield's Halloween Adventure

Oculus

House on Haunted Hill

Taste the Blood of Dracula
Curse of the Werewolf
Revenge of Frankenstein

Any movie from Hammer Studios (1950s-1960s)

Yeah. The Hammer horror movies seem like a good choice.

Keep the recommendations coming!

Murder Party is a film set on Halloween night, that should get a LOT more attention from fans.

Some others I love to watch during the season o' the Ween.

Excision
Carnival of Souls (original)
Messiah of Evil
Basket Case
Uzumaki
Der Todesking
The Omen (original)
American Mary

red = take place ON Halloween

Trick or Treat
American Werewolf in London
The Houses October Built
Silver Bullet
Wolfman (2010)
Blair Witch
Hellraiser
The Pit and the Pendulum
Arsenic and Old Lace
Re-Animator
The Hills Have Eyes (1977)
The Howling (I & IV)
Frankenstein's Army
Poltergeist (1982)
Night of Demons (1988)
Motel Hell
Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974)
Spider Baby
Cabin in the Woods
The Sixth Sense
Thir13en Ghosts

Wish I could think of more Halloween-centric horror movies, but that's my list, getting a lot more of the more obvious choices out of the way.

Some good choices there. I'm not necessarily looking for movies based on Halloween. Just good horror movies to watch on Halloween.
Better yet, the movies you'd watch this year or have watched previous years.

Some good recommendations so far.

You're being too vague. Can you be more specific of what kinds of films you want?

IMO your list needs a few more slashers. Friday the 13th, NOES, Hellraiser, Scream.

I guess. Just good horror movies.
Specifically based on sub genre. Just a collection of horror movies you'd recommend if someone wanted to watch fun horror films or gory ones or slasher ones?

My plan for the video is to split it up into categories.
Here are a few movies to watch if you want jump scares!
Here's a few to watch if you want some gore!
Here's some cerebral psychological horror!
Here's some light hearted fun horror!
That type of stuff.

I basically wanna make a video list of movies that people can watch and hopefully find a group of movies to fit the type of Halloween that they want.

Failing all that. Just a list of great horror films will do too.
Sorry if its still kinda vague. The video is still in its planning stage!
