Book reccommendations

I've been trying to find horror/dark fiction novels that suit a specific feel/atmosphere. A sort of mix of the first three Borderlands anthologies, Anthony Shriek(Salmonson), The Cipher(Koja), and Lovecraft. Though a more accessible lovecraft and not fiction directly inspired by lovecraft. Novels that are deeply dark and very uncanny, but not aliens or yet another 'demons breaking into our world' type of uncanny. Very strange, not to imply specifically or excluding the novel's structure like House of Leaves(not an explicitly horror novel I know). Not something sort of tame like the last half of Stephen King's books or Joe Schreiber(Chasing the Dark, Eat The Dead). Not that those books are bad, but as an example of what i'm not looking for.

Any suggestions?

Did anyone give you a good recommendation? I LOVE House of Leaves.
