Submit your horror film to Austin Film Festival!

Austin Film Festival is now in full swing and we want you to submit your film to our Dark Matters category! We’re looking for films that are easily identified as belonging to the horror, thriller or sci-fi genres that embody dark themes, unconventional subject matter, or suspenseful sensibilities.
We’re proud to announce that Mick Garris (Executive Producer Unbroken, Writer/Director/Executive Producer Masters of Horror) will serve on the jury for the Dark Matters category.
The prize for this category will be $1000 in addition to reimbursement (up to $500) of one round-trip airfare to Austin to attend the 2013 AFF, reimbursement (up to $500) for stay at an AFF hotel during the 2013 Festival, and the AFF Bronze Typewriter Award. That’s not to mention the attention and press you’ll get for screening your film at AFF. Each year many of our selected films go on to find distribution, including last year’s Dark Matters Jury Award Winner OXV: The Manual.
Our Regular deadline is June 15th, until which the submission fee is $60. If you submit online through our website (not Withoutabox) you will receive $5 off: http://www.austinfilmfestival.com/submit/film/online/
