7th Body Found In Same Neighborhood
Body Found Now Has Serial Murder Task Force's Attention
Investigators Say There Are Similarities To Other Homicides KANSAS CITY, Missouri -- There is no firm link, but the special task force investigating six Prospect Corridor killings is investigating a possible connection to human remains found Monday at Eighth Street and Flora. Five of the bodies found along Prospect in the past couple of months have been identified. But the sixth victim has not. KMBC's Peggy Breit reported that investigators were on Independence Avenue Monday looking for help in identifying the sixth victim when they ran into a man who told them he knew where a body was. Police found skeletal remains that may have been in the lot at Eighth Street and Flora for weeks or even months. Investigators will call on the help of a forensic anthropologist to try and determine the gender, race and height of the victim. Detectives will also try to figure out if the seventh body is another murder committed by the same serial killer. "The similarities that we're able to discuss are that the body was found in an alley near some vacant lots, the body was concealed, and there are some other similarities we're not able to discuss," Capt. Rich Lockhart said. Terry A. Blair, 43, is charged with one of the six murders from the Prospect Corridor. The prosecutor's office is considering eight more cases, including five murder cases, against Blair, Breit said.
