Unfortunately, I don't recommend it. The artwork in it is amazing but the writing and story isn't very good at all. If you have it at your local library, I'd suggest flipping through it just to look at the art.

Ahh - Ok. Thanks for your honesty. The artwork looks AMAZING. Glad I wasn't deceived! ;)

Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter: Guilty Pleasures

SPEAKING of bad writing... This was too painful to get through. Not even up to par with a "guilty pleasure;" the title is clearly a misnomer.

Marvel Zombies vs. Army of Darkness

I've been enjoying the Marvel Zombies series so far but this one was just awful.

Batman: The Court of Owls, volume 1

The Walking Dead is the only comic I read religiously. In between issues I read whatever catches my eye. Nothing specific.

Haha just seeing this now, my bad. I feel in love with Preacher as soon as I picked it up one of the most intelligent, bizarre and outlandish comics I've come across. I've made my way up to 'Proud Americans' so far, but I haven't had any luck coming across volume 4 so far unfortunately.

---------------------------------------

I've been keeping up on all of the 'Before Watchmen' series that they've released to date. So far their more or less a hit or miss type deal. Ozymandius, Silk Spectre and Rorshach's series are all promising so far but I have to say I'm let down a lot with The Comedian's and Nite Owl's up to this point.

Saga of the Swamp Thing Volume 1

Very cool collection of stories. My first introduction to the Swamp Thing character (besides the film) and it's definitely one I'm going to keep reading. I'm planning on going out tomorrow to try and hunt down the second and third volumes.

I've been reading almost exclusively DC/ Vertigo titles for the last couple months so I decided to try out a couple Marvel trades:

Daredevil: Yellow

Punisher: In the Blood
