Yeah, once I get the 2-disc Versus set, I'm gonna be watching that thing constantly.

Great fucking lists everybody and I've seen The Evil Dead debated so much on if it's a zombie flick or not that I say it's your call on that one. Here's my top zombie flick:

1. Night of the Living Dead (68)
2. Night of the Creeps
3. Dawn of the Dead (78)
4. Day of the Dead
5. Dawn of the Dead (04)
6. Return of the Living Dead
7. Resident Evil
8. Zombi
9. Night of the Living Dead (90)
10. Return of the Living Dead 2

Yeah, resident evil is a cool movie. Not really scary though but has some pretty cool zombies in it. I find that Night of the Living Dead is pretty pathetic, it's not scary and low budget. Well I think that Dawn of the Dead the newer one is cool and kind of scary depends on which way you look at it.

you got to remember - night of the living dead is a "ground zero " movie ..by that i mean there was nothing out before to compare it too - it sparked a whole different style of horror film making that has been going for about 30 years now ( not bad at all ) ..in a way you can say that night gave birth to the "modern " monster movie . - of course now its a bit dated , but back in the day - this was a *&^% scarey and bloody movie with shades of the vietnam war ( which was going on at the time ) thrown in for good measure .

Yeah I suppose you're right if you look at it that way. In my parents day The War of the Worlds was scary, I saw that movie and didn't see anything. It's the same with Friday the 13th. Old movies strike when they first come out depending on the person and so forth.

very true ...i remember talking to a guy in his late 60's and he told me . growing up - he was &*^ scared of the balck and white movies - wolfman and frankenstien ... even though they are classic movies - i think today. we would be hard pressed to call then horror movies - much less scarey ;)

NOTLD will always be my favorite horror movie because it was so groundbreaking and scared the hell out of people back then. First real gore, first black leading man in a horror, its was just so revolutionary. I love it

Versus is ok, but its pretty flawed in some ways I don't rate it quite as high as evryone else seems to! Wild Zero is also worth a look as its another crazy Japanese take on the Zombie Genre!!!

Anyone remember Virus aka Hell Of The Living Dead?

A Bruno Matteii film, cheesy acting, zombies and score by Goblin.
