It's a mad mad mad mad world

It wasn't as great as I expected it to be. I have seen some movies that have followed the same plot back in the 80's and 90's that I remembered likeing, but this one dragged on a bit. Even though it's probably the origanal.

6/10

Casshern

This movie pissed me off. It was slow at first then I thought it was about to become a good story only to be annoying instead. The music was crap, to many slow motion pieces, ahite acting and bad story telling. Visually it was pretty cool. So maybe you should just get oned and watch it while you listen to an album. But I don't recomend this movie at all.

3/10

Yeah, well... Robert Rodriguez directed Sin City first. :p

True, but he's obviously reusing cinematic and directorial styles and tactics laid out Rodriguez's film. Regardless of comic author, the influence of Sin City the film is obvious.

That movie was a HUGE disappointment. It could and SHOULD have been good. I agree with you on all points there. Gorgeous, TONS of potential, but overdone.

...

Watched Anaconda this afternoon just for fun.

I had forgotten what a ridiculous movie this is... Jennifer Lopez, Owen Wilson, Jon Voight, Eric Stoltz (?!) and Ice Cube - What a completely random motley crew of actors.

I ALSO had forgotten how incredibly WRONG and OFFENSIVE Jon Voight's portrayal of Latino Paul Sarone was - I have a hard time thinking that in 1997 he and the director got away with that. Sure, Scarface did it, but that was in 1983, significantly well-before sensitive movie censors.

It's a silly animal attack flick with particularly bad CGI. While these movies are dear to my heart (I LOVE Deep Blue Sea), I think that Anaconda might just be beyond my camp-movie loving.

1.5/5

...

Right now I'm watching Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan

Second time I've seen this movie. Painful at times, but overall hilarious. I think my favorite part would definitely be the Rodeo in Salem Civic Center, Salem, VA. Our Southerners are definitely creepy. My only problem with this movie is that I LOVE the candid stuff and I think the staged stuff is not that amusing. I wish that there had been more candid material and less staged material.

3.5/5

Boxcar Bertha (1972) - 8.5/10.

Great Scorsese flick.

Dude, really? I hate that film- actually, I saw a documentary where Scorsese practically disowned it.

I mean, everything else that man touches turns to gold, but...

Ghost Town---average comedy that I would have given maybe a 6/10...but I really like Ricky Gervais's type of humor....so...7.5/10

Righteous Kill--you would think that pairing De Niro & Pacino together would result in a sure fire winner......you would be wrong. What a fucking disappointing mess. 2/10

"Little shop of horrors" 1986 7/10

Steve Martin definitely should've had a much, much bigger part in this movie. All the dentist scenes are the highlights of this movie. Damn, that man was funny back then..

Say, it's from 1986. Isn't it time for a remake, hmm?

Smells like something Burton could get into with success.

It was itself a remake of a 60s Roger Corman flick starring Jack Nicholson. Pretty good movie, and Rick did a great job with a wonderful all-star supporting cast.

If they make another one, it ll be the remake of a remake.
