Deeper: The Retribution of Beth (2014)

A passable rape & revenge flick.

It does make you wonder why the holy land had not been used on a more regular basis for horror films, if ever a location was more apt I dont know it.
Ditto. Liked it too.

Great to see you back, mac!

Problems with the government allowing people to film there possibly?

It was decent, but I remember it being somewhat disappointing. But I can't remember why. I do remember the very end was excellent.

The Call of Cthulhu (2005)

This movie was actually long overdue for me, as I really really love the Cthulhu myth. I liked that the movie was filmed to fit in the 1920's silent film era, it gave the film many authenticity. But still, I'd like to see one day an expensive made movie with a badass Cthulhu inside..just for eye pleasure.

I was actually expecting to see the original (as I didn't see it yet) but somehow I didn't pay attention to how bad it actually was...gotta watch the original tonight xD

now i know his work is very devisive, people seem to love him or hate him.im definitely in the former camp, i love his films, yes they are arty for artys sake, yes he relys on tricks and gimmicks, yes they rely heavily on the music, and not always the songs, i peronally think they are scored brilliantly. thouroughly enjoyed this. 8.5/10

I didn't think anyone considered his movies "artsy." "Trashy" would probably be a better word. Or "annoying." Maybe even just "bad."
