Aussie Horror Flick

I'm just curious to see how far this Aussie Horror flick 'Wolf Creek' has travelled around the world.
It was released about two years ago and is based loosely on factual events.

If you've seen it, what are your thoughts?

Saw it last year. Thought it was alright, nothing amazing, but frustrating because there were so many "Dont do that, stupid!" moments where the characters would have been fine if they werent idiots.

All in all, i enjoyed far more than i did Hostel.

I live in Chicago, Illinois, USA.

I enjoyed it quite a bit, I thought it was nicely set up, and I gave a shit about the characters, which is rare these days. What impatient moviegoers saw as being a "slow and boring" beginning I saw as a perfectly horrifying way to start the show. We actually spend time, real, casual, non-panic time with the characters before they get mutilated and slaughtered.

I am from Montréal, Québec, Canada, and I saw it at a movie theater. I was mildly disappointed with Wolf Creek. Not because of the slow start, which was nicely done, but more because it was hyped as a very nasty and sadistic movie once it got started, and ended up being pretty tame in my opinion.

I'm from Los Angeles, California and I enjoyed this one quite a bit. I really enjoyed the pacing and the performace by John Jarrat was delicious. Nothing new, but rather well done.

Unfortunately I don't think McLean's next effort, Rogue (a croc movie), will be half as good.

I liked it...doubt that I would buy it, but it was certainly worth the rental fee:)

Not as good as the hype had led me to believe. One of the more dissapointing films of 2006 for me. But I've been meaning to rewatch it and give it another chance.

You know, sometimes there's more to a good movie than just the "kills".

That is how this movie was pimped everywhere tho, its legitimate problem/disappointment to have with the flick.

Interesting thoughts. And I'd have to say that I mirror some of them.
I haven't seen 'Rogue' yet. Largely because I used to live in Darwin where there are alot more crocs than people and I just get the feeling that this one will be full of crap. (Kind of like a Great White Shark hunting people in the tropics).
