The Colony
Feel free to move this to TV, I just wanted to talk about it a bit where people will actually see it before tonight's premiere.
So, I found this show roughly a year ago and I think it's something you guys will like. It's a controlled experiment where a group of people are confined and not allowed to sleep for a few days before being introduced to each other under the premise that they are the survivors of a biological weapon caused Apocalypse. Each person has their own flaws, but more importantly, their own important skills. There's everything from a carpenter, to a scientist, to a self defense trainer. Together they need to create some kind of water filtration, shelter, power sources, security and entertainment with only what they can find in the area. They are also confronted by thieves, religious radicals and people who simply need a place to stay and have to decide amongst them what to do about the situation. Season one was very good, and I'm re-watching it right now. If you have the Discovery Channel you should check out the season 2 premiere tonight at 10.

So my boyfriend actually likes this. A lot. I've tried watching it with him - The premise is really interesting (I mean, who doesn't like a good staged Apocalypse?!), but I guess where it ends for me is that it's a faux-apocalypse (fauopalypse)... Which I understand of the point, but it just seems kinda silly to me.
Then again, maybe I'm just jealous that I'm not part of it. I hate George. He's a stupid, lazy tool.
