I wasnīt so excited about "The forgotten". Reminded me of Shyamalan, with the far out ending. And i thought his las movie "the village" SUUUUUUCKED!!!!!

Of horror movies from 2004 i recommend:

1. Gothika (The best supernatural horror movie of the year)

2. Godsend (The second best....)

3. Dawn of the dead (best zombie movie ever)

4. Saw (Just plain exciting)

5. Ju-on; the grudge 2 (Japanese)

6. The grudge (Havnīt seen it yet, but iīm sure that i will like it.):)

Thats all folks!!!

The end

I'm one of the few people that enjoyed Gothika also...cannot see why so many people rip on this movie, not that I much care.

I haven't seen Godsend, but it looked ok...

The new dawn of the dead was ok, although I preferred the original...they're totally different from eachother though, the new one was more a reinvention than remake if you ask me.

Saw was good, yeah...although I'm not inclined to run out and buy the dvd straight away.

Ju-on; the grudge 2 (Japanese) - Haven't yet seen either of the japanese grudge films, although if the ring was anything to go by, the japanese version was infinitely better and explained the story a lot more clearly, shall hope the same is the case with
ju-on ...I didn't really like the US version of the grudge much...I mean, it was ok, but didn't really stand out in any way.

The grudge - If you're referring to the US version, see above. If you're referring to the Jap version, I've not seen it, but would reccomend it over the US version on faith alone.

- B.

I was talking about the American version.

But if you didnīt like that version, then you shouldnīt bother to go look for the japanese. Iīm pretty sure itīs much the same thing, because itīs the same director.
Itīs a haunted house......... Thatīs it.
Now, I loved that theme. But what i really loved about the 4 japanese movies was the director Shimizuīs creepy imagnination. From the first low-budget movie itīs easy to tell that Shimizu knows how to scare. Not many directors does that.
;)

I liked Uzumaki, but im much more into scary, creepy japanese movies, than japanese weird movies. But i thought it was well made. Just didnīt get what had happened to the girl in the end. That annoyed me.
