The cafeteria at work has stuffed grape leaves in the salad bar, which makes me incredibly happy.
Anyone else here like stuffed grape leaves? Typically when I get them, my coworkers look at them in disgust: "What the hell IS that?!" But they're so, so yummy... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dolma I had them with my "usual" sandwich made by Nancy, the sandwich lady: Roast beef with mozzarella, caramelized onions, lettuce, tomato and horseradish mayo on a tomato wrap. Sliced pickles. Ruffles on the side. |

I love stuffed grape leaves! Yummy!
Lunch was a ham and cheese sandwich on the new sandwich thin rounds. With potato chips and a Diet Dr. Pepper. I better get used to eating sandwiches - I'm going to be moving into my own place in May. Don't really like cooking for just myself.

Made pizza type things on tortillas last night.
One with pineapple, onion and pepper. One with plain cheese. One with chorizo, pineapple, olive and anchovies. One with bbq sauce, chorizo, beef, olives, pineapple, anchovies, onion. Yeah chrono - they get called "vine leaves" here, though I always assumed they might be from something like a grapevine. I find them to be hit and miss - they need to have the right balance of acidity I'd say. There's a lebanese restaurant in Sydney that's been open for 40+ years, and holy shit, they just do the best ever vine leaves. Quote:

@cheebs: I figure I'll cook for four and that way I'll have leftovers for lunches and dinner.

Your "usual" sandwich sounds delicious. I'm feeling lazy tonight, so it'll probably be peanut butter & jelly for dinner.
