Gonna have to hunker down. Hearing a national shutdown is coming this week. 2 weeks --- for now.

Shutdown should be now if you saw those airport pictures. Incompetence. People say keep your distance and they make that mess at the airports. It's not difficult to start lines from when the people leave the planes and space them out by at least an arm length.

This stuff is common sense. You really don't need any sort of high educational level to know if you want to stop a virus from passing through the air and on surfaces you shut down everything and treat the people you know have it. If not all you are doing is risking spreading the virus.
I don't think any society on Earth has ever tested every single person for a virus. It's impossible. And even if you can, just because you test and a person comes back negative doesn't mean when they leave they won't come into contact with someone who has the virus. Shut down is how China slowed and seemingly stopped the virus for now. Italy is shut down. The United States just went from groups of 250 down to groups of 10. We are playing around. |

Some good news. The government might be giving everyone 1K. That buys a lot of horror.

$1000 is a start but it will barely help the people who don't have large savings. Not to really get into politics but it's funny how fast Republicans when they get into power want to give money back to people who are very well off. I'm talking people who have money for multiple generations. And even give them tax cuts when they aren't even needed. Then when we really need that surplus money and lost income, we have to plunge ourselves deeper into debt as a country.
It's happened twice if not three times now that I've seen. I drove past so many small restaurants and food places today that were closed if not completely empty. People who work at places like that need more than $1000 to cover rent and expenses if people are talking July or August for things to get back to some kind of normal everyday life. It's just funny how people are talking about socialism being bad and here we are. Even though we do have something called Social Security but I guess that flies over the head of some. Also the longer we wait to fully shut down, the longer it will take to recover. |

Don't get too happy. The GOP is going to vote against it.
