Yeah,it's brewed by Phoenix in Manchester, you may find it at a Beer festival but alas I don't think you can find it in pubs any more. From what I can gather it is only brewed once in a blue moon ...

The supermarkets and bottle shops seem to have a good range though, that's where I have been buying most of them...

Not much of a beer drinker, though having an occasional bottle's rather nice after a hectic day, when I don't feel like getting plastered out of my mind with vodka or tequila or some such.

I did find Budweiser quite watery. Guinness was some improvement. Recently, whenever the whim strikes to buy beer I go for darker ones like Baron Trenck, Herold Bohemian Black & Grenat Lager, Synebrychoff Nikolai Dark Lager and good dependable Old Tom, or whatever interesting new ones happen to be there.

Have no idea what whiskey's like. Anything close to cognac? sherry? port?

Generally, I prefer red wine. Speaking of something smooth from Italy, ever had Lambrusco? With the lower alcohol content, you can pretty much chug it like beer. :)

I'm more of a Vodka man myself......

When I do drink beer I like Guinness, Newcastle, Harp, and Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.
