I just saw the first installment of the Camp Blood series that parodies the Friday the 13th series, and it is funny in that sort of way. Its characters have good catchy dialogue parodying both certain characters and certain scenes with good over the top humorous drama and dialogue. It also has a nice found footage touch to help make it a little more interesting. It also has a nice little surprise near the end, parodying when it was revealed that Mrs. Vorhees was the killer in the original Friday the 13th film. Most fans of the Friday the 13th series should get a kick out of this one, remembering it's only a parody. Those who like the Bloody Murder series that also parodies the Friday the 13th series should like this series as well.

I would add Club Dread to the list also.

I just saw Eden Lake for the first time. I've seen a lot of horror, but this left a really bad after thought about the whole thing. Very brutal movie.

I spent the first half shouting at the TV 'Just go home' in an entertaining manner, but the films slips into a dark place I can't recall seeing before.

I would say more, but I'm not going to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it...since you should.

Yea, one watch was enough for me.

Partly because those 'ripped off concepts' were rather hodge-podge even for EH's own plot story. (At least everything in Underwater was self-consistent.) I was literally shaking my head. I even accused one EH fan of probably not knowing sci-fi very well... not a friendly attitude on my part.

I agree with you, EH had a nice cast, which helped the film along.

I mildly enjoyed the new Star Treks, as I agree with you, they didn't bother trying to be very original. What are the best 3-4 Star Trek films?
Take Star Wars The Force Awakens, maybe you could say that George Lucas was bitter. But he did say that he did new things or had new planets with every movie. But James Cameron's comments were the most clear on that movie. He said something like he would wait for the sequel basically because The Force Awakens was a reboot / remake. We know what happened with the sequel when they attempted to subvert just about everything in The Force Awakens and made a movie that I'll never watch again. A movie that might be the worst Star Wars movie if not tied for the worst.

What are some of those TV shows and movies that Event Horizon rips off?

The best 3 to 4 Star Trek movies? Probably all the original crew movies. I've never seen the majority in theaters and want to see them on a big screen setup. I'm sure I would pick 1, 2, 3, and 4 (not in order of preference).

I recall not liking that one. It was one of those bad guys are the hero movies with the last shot I think. I'm sure I reviewed it here.

Two Heads Creek 6-7/10

A crazy Australian Edgar Wright wannabe flick.

Thought all the actors did a good job. None of them playing a normal person.

Lucky 3/10

What... the fuck.

The thing is written by AND starring a woman named Brea Grant. This person is clearly not well.

A Cure for Wellness 8/10

Got more plot holes than something with a lot of holes. But who cares, it's GOOD!

I just saw House of the Devil, a modern movie, but set in the 1980's and filmed like it was shot in the 80's.

Really well done. Fell in love with Jocelin Donahue, who was really good...so was pretty annoyed with what happened to her, lol. A decent horror.
