Horror Plays?

Pretty sure this is the wrong thread, but horror movies, comics and tv shows wasn't the best place either.

I'm curious. Are there any horror plays out? Or were there any horror films created based off a certain horror play. Now they don't have to be concrete horror, because I saw one in the spring (I can't remember the name) but it was filled with suspense and ambiguity; and was very reminiscent of the Exorcist. So if there are any, post them.

Tod Browning's version of Dracula was pretty much a filmed version of the 1927 Broadway hit starring Lugosi. No singing involved. You're probably thinking of Andrew Lloyd (I'll rape any subject for a hit) Webber's Phantom. Of course, there's Rocky Horror, also, which started on stage.

Hmmm...thanks. Nice touch on Andrew's middle name. Oh, how I love the originality in that name! hahaha:) Any other reccomendations?

Why yes, glad you asked.

There's Victor Frankenstein/Victoria Frankenstein about a mad scientist struggling with his sexual identity, Tennesee Williams' lesser known steamy Southern melodrama Cat People on a Hot Tin Roof and Last House on the Left: The Musical starring Joel Grey and Tommy Tune. The turkey baster chorus line is really spectacular!*

*by the way, I'm fucking with you! :)

I'm curious about REPO! The Genetic Opera.

I guess it's supposed to be a modern-day Rocky Horror.

Pretty psyched about the film (whenever it comes out), but the stage play sounds like a blast.

There's also American Psycho, The Musical:
