worth a buy?

I recently started my early, early, horror collection by purchasing Haxan and the Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. the next two I'm thinking of buying are Faust and the Golem. has anyone seen either of these? are they worth a buy, or should I netflix it?

I saw about 10 minutes of Der Golem on TV awhile back, and was blown away. Ive been looking for it ever since (easy to find online, but Im trying to avoid that)

I ramble, but from what Ive seen of it Der Golem is definatly a safe purchase.

The Golem is a good film. The first time I viewed it was at an independent cinema about 10 years ago.

It is public domain and can be downloaded on a number of public domain movie sites if you want to check it out.

Der Golem is definately worth it.

I'd also like to make a recommendation:

http://www.amazon.com/Fright-Fest-Ni...?ie=UTF8&s=dvd

It's a set called Fright Fest, and it contains 10 classic horror films, including a few silents. Unfortunately, neither of the ones you mentioned above are in it, but it's up that alley. It comes in a great tin package, with a folded case inside containing 5 DVDs, 2 movies per DVD.

I highly reccomend it, I bought the set myself and love it.

And you can get it much cheaper at DeepDiscountDVD.com ($18), but I posted the Amazon link because it gives a better description...and because I wrote a review under it. :)

I saw Murnau's FAUST projected a while back, and it was amazing. Recommended.

I would get this if I didn't already have half the movies. I feel like I need Horror Hotel, but I hopefully can find that individually. thanks for the recommendation, though.
