Post Nightmare on Elm Street: Sleepstalkers (a fan idea)

Just for fun I am writing a script that is a cross between Nightmare on Elm Street 2 and 3. My script explores what happened to Jesse Walsh (NOS2) after that fateful ending in NOS2. It also explores his connection to Kristen Parker (NOS 3,4). My script titled "Nightmare on Elm Street: Sleepstalkers" Takes place in Westin Hills where Jesse is now locked up in an unknown location of the hospital. Other patients known as the "Elm Street Kids" are getting offed in the way Freddy knows best, but he is also using them ,similarly to how he used Philip (NOS3), to wreck havoc among the people he might not be able to get to. Now one thing I am wondering when writing Freddy's dialogue, is are his trademark puns essential? How many should he have? I have written some bizarre Freddy puns for my scenes such as "Sorry Kristen, he’s (Jesse) already taken. But I’m always into threesomes" This gave me shudders. What do you guys think? Of course I do not intend to go all Michael Bay on this series or ever make this into a movie, it's just for fun.

Based on your cursory description: this script NEEDS to happen and would inject some life into the moribund Elm Street franchise. Maybe not a full-length feature, but I'm thinking a series of webisodes isn't out of the question. Many horror sites will pay you a good chunk of change for those, though copyrights may be a temporary obstacle.

And yes, Freddy is nothing without his humor!
