serial killer indys

i havent seen that much indy horror but there are a few out there worth checking out. A film company called two shoes has a series of movies based on serial killers. So far they have made Ted Bundy, Ed Gein, Jeffrey Dahmer and Gacy. The ed gein film is the best in my opinion, the others are just too obsessed on the killers sexual point of view so its like watching necrophiliac porn. One movie that is really indy was Jack Frost 2. Granted the idea of a killer snowman is stupid to begin with but the movie itself is good for a laugh. One indy I have yet to see is a movie called nutbag based on a las vegas serial killer.

I'm not into the whole serial killer line of films that keep coming out. They all seem derivitive and out to make a buck on the home video market. As far as I'm concerned, the best serial killer flick was already made, Henry, and it's not even based on fact.

I mean, the Gacy guy was in PeeWee's Big Adventure. Come on.

Avenger...you have to check out Ted Bundy. It was directed by Matthew Bright who did Freeway and Henry 2, and it is absolutely hilarious. It's my 3rd fave serial killer movie after Henry and Deranged. Tom Savini plays a cop and did the special effects, and the scene where our hero tries to convince his girlfriend to let him sodomize her while she pretends to be dead is whacked. "C'mom, Ted...can't we just do it regular?" Ed Gein and Dahmer sucked (though there is kinda a reference to Ilsa in Ed Gein), and I never watched Gacy.

Henry and Deranged are both great, so I might give that one a shot. And the fact that Savini's in it helps.

Yes, Francis played Gacy. Also known as Chubby from Teen Wolf.

Have I mentioned your avatar is hysterical? Aunt Martha scares the shit out of me.

That's because Savini is freakin' awesome. Great guy, too.

If you are interested in seeing a serial killer movie then rent a movie called Severed. It's filmed and written by Matt Green. (I can't remember if his last name is spelled like that or with an e on the end.)

It was meant to be serious but I think he just decided 'fuck it'.... some of the scenes are cool and the effects are okay. It's very low budget.. you can tell during the first few scenes but it's very funny. It might not be as funny to you but it is to me since I've worked with Matt Green (he's helped my class film short movies and the like) and I know his personality.

There's a certain part that you know he wrote to be funny. I won't say it because i'd spoil it but if you see it remember: nightclub. LOL.
