Anybody know anything about HD Camcorders

I'm looking to buy one...I'm not getting a professional one just yet. Buy I do want to spend 800. I definitely want Flash Memory over Hard Drive. Full HD 1080p. Good low light/night filming. Decent zoom and an Imagine Stabilizer.

There are way too many cameras to choose from so I'm hoping someone can help.

The three brands to choose from. Canon, Sony or Panasonic.

Thanks!

If you are going with a HD Digital Video camcorder, which is what I have the most experience with out of any other camera. They don't do well with dark shots, they tend to pixelate trying to bring the picture out and it doesn't look all that good. The higher-up cameras (way above 800) don't tend to have as bad as a problem with the dark.

my friend uses this: http://www.vistek.ca/marketing/proce...FQ4EiQodrQ3FsQ

it's the next camera I'm buying, I take a lot of photos but the video beats pretty much any hd video camera anyway.

Not sure what its like now but DV cameras tended to be better quality than solid state devices of the same price.

Has this changed?
