JAAROUVA (LADY OF THE COLD) 2013

Swedish film with eng subs. A group of friends treat one of their group to a vacation at an isolated cottage. She has been depressed after losing her parents when they froze to death as the result of a car accident. SPOILER AHEAD




Unfortunately the titular character just looked like someone in a horrible Halloween get-up.

Hands of the Ripper - 1971

I have a new favorite Hammer film! It's the first time I've seen it but it won't be the last. So many great performances and what a surprisingly gory, grisly bit of cinema as well. The Synapse DVD looks incredible and makes all that famous Hammer blood pop off the screen.

Five stars out of five!
