Of the people I know who've seen it, it appears to be a good film.

How WAS that?
I've been tossing up whether or not to see it...

If you liked this though, you might wanna check out a show called "The Good Guys", seems to be a little along the same lines. It was originally intended as a movie like 10 years ago to reintroduce the buddy/cop genre, but got turned down...the writer Matt Nix has since went on to do a pretty successful series (burn notice) so I guess that gave him clout enough to get another series. Got Tom Hanks' son in it, as a "fresh" cop partnered up with one that's kind of stuck in the 80's, is a huge walking stereotype, pretty funny. It's great fun, kind of like a modern day Odd couple, with more guns...

I last watched "Encino Man" which I hadn't seen for years. Hm..."ok"...not really what I'd call a comedy classic but it was fun to revisit something I first saw when I was about 13? Ah, back in the days before everyone dreaded the next Brendan Frazer release...

It's a lot better than Cop Out. Michael Keaton was great in it but you've basically seen it if you've watched the trailer. I still enjoyed it and there was some pretty funny shit here and there. I just ganked a screener of it...

I thought it was more cleverly done in comparison. Decent throwback to the 80s odd couple cop flicks but more heavy on the humor. I think the best is still to come with the modern incarnation this type of film and it's just finding it's feet.

Kansas City
Later day Altman film that despite a stellar performance from Harry Belafonte failed to engage. Great period atmosphere from Altman, but Jennifer Jason Leigh's performance was too mannered and the story wasn't that deep.

Meteor Man
Despite some questionable moral double standards in the big finale' I found this Robert Townsend comedy enjoyable. Great performances from Robert Guillaume, James Earl Jones (hilarious) and Frank Gorshin.
