Post The Hit List...

While Alan Moore is my all-time favorite comicbook scribe, I think my all-time favorite series is PREACHER by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon.

The series is one of the most emotional, gripping, funny, and sentimental comic series ever, im my humble opinion... ;)

After that, LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN I & II, STRAY BULLETS, PROMETHEA, REX MUNDI, HELLBOY, 100 BULLETS, FABLES, PLANETARY, and THE GOON all spring to mind...

Oh, and NIGHTMARE WORLD has some great art, although the writer is a self-promoting hack. :p

Best wishes,
Aaron

I love "Students of the Unusual"

But I'm a little biased!

""Students of the Unusual doesn’t come across as the new kid in class. Students of the Unusual is clearly at the head of the class, and at this pace will graduate with many honors!

Students Of The Unusual is a bimonthly ongoing series. The first issue will be solicited in June's Previews, with an August shipping date. For more information about Students of the Unusual, visit www.StudentsOfTheUnusual.Com

I liked the old EC comics. My favorite were the Sci Fi and Horror titles.

Also, Freddy's Nightmares on Elm Street magazine/comic by Marvel was pretty good. It had painted covers and the inside was black n white with solid artwork. Innovation came out with their own series a little later but I wasn't feeling the painted artwork.

Graphic Novel-Terminator: The Burning Earth put out by NOW Comics and painted by Alex Ross. Great story and art. I can't believe how badly written and drawn the series was.

And Aliens 2nd series by Darkhorse Comics. Had painted art and continued the story from the Aliens movie.
