Yard Sales and Pawn Shops

Just picked up a box of VHS movies from a yard sale for 10 dollars. Had in it: All Friday the 13th movies, All of the Nightmare on Elm Streets, Child's play 2 & 3, Phantasms 1 & 2, Texas chainsaw Massacre 1 & 2, Dracula, Frankenstein meets Wolf man, The Thing, The Blob, The Invisible Man, Wrong Turn, about 10 Tales from the Crypts sets, and about 20 other horror films and about 10 anime set and about 6 kids movies and a few hits from the 90's.

I tell you, Pawn Shops sell DVD's for 2 dollars and deals on a bundle and yard sales sell classic for a dollar or so. Great place to get a few classics to add to your collection.

I picked up Pacific Entertainment's 25 Horror classics and a copy of Necronomicon today for 2.50. My local pawn shop is pretty good.

Used to be a ton of shops here selling old VHS ex-rentals here back in the day.
Picked up a ton of good shit then. Lots of the horror stuff came to Ireland during the 80's and the Video NAsty witch hunt.

These days its impossible to get Pre-VRA tapes - all the stuff in the charity shops is main stream home sale stuff :(

I miss the days of finding hidden treasure.
