FROZEN-2009. No, not the Disney film, but about three youngsters who get caught on a ski lift and the problems therein. A lot better than it sounds and worth seeing. For FRIDAY,THE 13TH fans, Kane Hodder makes an appearance. ***1/2

Passengers

This would've been a lot better if they had just stuck with the story they introduced in the beginning.

SPOILERS

The story of Chris Pratt's isolation slowly driving him insane until he's met with the dilemma of whether to live out the rest of his life alone or damn someone else to his situation was a great ethical question and led to an interesting story.

Then they had to ruin it by turning it into another sci-fi disaster movie that actually vilified his actions. What he did was understandable but also terrible but the last part of the movie not only said that what he did was basically okay but necessary or else everyone else would've died on the ship. It ruined what up to that point was a great story. Because of that it just ended up as an okay cliched film that will ultimately be pretty forgettable.

END OF SPOILERS

6/10

The only reason I didn't give it a higher score is because I was disappointed in the ending. Don't want to give it away, but, you probably know what I'm talking about.

There are two scenarios you may be talking about....not sure which one but I don't want to get into spoiler territory.

And not surprising at all....heard there is gonna be a US remake.

The U.S. needs to leave it alone. I'll send you a PM about what I'm talking about.

No?
How about less (male) crying and people actually fighting back and killing a zombie once in a while.

YAY!! Adding it to my queue! Been looking forward to that one for a while!

...

Saw Get Out last night. It was fucking great. Really smart, really ballsy, and at the end, pretty damn brutal too. I'm blown away that it was by a first-time director (Jordan Peele). Daniel Kaluuya and Allison Williams were really incredible - Actually, the whole cast was. I love seeing an incredibly angry, smart, socially conscious movie with a definite opinion and 0 fucks to give. Definitely recommended.
