The Dark Knight

I think it's safe to say that this film is going to dominate.

http://imdb.com/title/tt0468569/

The late Heath Ledger as the Joker, and Maggie Gyllenhaal replacing Katie Holmes. I'm freaking excited about it. Thoughts? Concerns?

I've been saying that this will be the film of 2008 looooong before Heath died.

Don't take this the wrong way, but him dying just upped the anticipation of this film by a THOUSAND. Heath's last on-screen performance.

I can't fucking wait.

And in a way, this movie truly belongs in the horror board, because The Joker is going to be fucking CREEPY. And knowing that the man playing him is dead while you're in the theater... the idea sends shivers down my spine.

I'm hoping it ends up with an R rating. I mean, I know it most likely won't, but it would be awesome. A really dark Batman movie with Joker? Not to mention on imdb it says that we might get to see him through the eyes of someone gassed by scarecrow, meaning he'll be even more demonic!

I don't know, Batman with an R rating seems to be pushing it a bit too far. I'm a lifelong fan, and of course I love the post-Miller Dark Knight version of Batman. But let's remember when we all got into the character. Speaking for myself, I was ten or eleven. So basically, if an R rated Batman film had come out then, I wouldn't even be allowed to see it! PG-13 seems fine for setting the proper tone the character needs without going overboard.

I had no doubts in my mind when this film was announced and when Ledger was attached that he was going to be amazing as Joker. I cannot wait to see this movie and I will be there for the Midnight screening.

R.I.P. Heath!

JOKER WILL LIVE ON!

Not gonna lie, wasn't too crazy on the idea of Heath playing the Joker, but after seeing the trailer when I saw I AM LEGEND when it was released, I'm pretty sure this is going to be the greatest film EVA!

Yeah this will be a great film. If Heath's performance is half of what it was in Brokeback Mountain this will be amazing

Dark Night

I agree, I think Heath's performance in the trailer atleast, looks very convincing.
