i think this movie was really a "fan movie"... not to say that people who aren't fans of the comic wouldn't enjoy the movie, just that those that are would adore it or think it's "a work of art" ( and yes, people have said this ).
5/10... it was alright.

Mediocre. I'd say maybe a 6 out of 10.
I definitely didn't view it as a horror movie (and I don't think that was the film's intent). But mediocre nonetheless. I really wanted to smack that fish-guy up! Damn he was annoying...lol!

as a movie i give it a 4, i got bored a few times during watching it, it could've been made great...but wasn't, it was watchable but nothing special, i watched Serial Killing 101 before i watched Hellboy and found that movie a lot better, gonna watch Open Water today, anyone seen that yet?

I would have to give the movie a 3. I didn't think it was all that good. BUT, I've never read the comic book before...so, If I had I may have actually liked it.
